Vinyl Wrapping
A vinyl wrap, simply put, is a "sticker" that encapsulates usually the entire exterior of a vehicle. However, this "sticker" lasts years longer than your average one and can change the boring color of your vehicle to something exciting and new. It is also much more affordable than a paint job and looks just as nice.
At "Family Wraps," we utilize "calendared" vinyl which starts as a solid and goes through rollers to flatten it out. It is usually 2.5 mm to 4 mm thick, providing a layer of protection for your vehicle's underlying paint from debris. Calendared vinyl can also achieve colors "cast" vinyl cannot, like amazing color change patterns. It is also more affordable than its alternative "cast" vinyl and with the correct care can last up to 5 years long.
Interior Vinyl Wrap
Vinyl Wrap can also be applied to the interior of your vehicle on surfaces that need a pop of color or have surface scratches that need cover ups. In this photo a carbon fiber wrap was applied to cover a boring plastic black center console, now it stands out whenever someone enters the vehicle.
Examples of Vinyl Colors
Color changing vinyl can be achieved in metallic finishes as well as gloss finishes.
Simple colors tend to last longer than more sophisticated colorways. These colors can be gloss, matte or metallic.
Metallic colors are usually the most attractive due to their eye-catching shine in the sun and low-profile glint at night.
